Our patient support group is facilitated by LAP- BAND® System patients. We offer you education, awareness, enthusiasm, and acceptance of your new or soon to be new body. LAP- BAND® Weight Loss Support Groups are key players in the recovery of your weight loss surgery. The group meets to assist patients with issues related to their LAP- BAND® Weight Loss Surgery as well as problems faced by those suffering from obesity on a daily basis.

You’re Not Alone
The goal of our LAP- BAND® Weight Loss Surgery Support Groups is to let you know that you’re not alone in your journey by providing a critical forum for patients to share their experiences, have questions answered, and gain encouragement from their peers.
 
Research shows that the morbidly obese are at risk of abeing more anxious, depressed and have lower self-esteem than an individual that is not obese. Therefore, LAP- BAND® Weight Loss Surgery is only one element that plays a key role in weight loss. Our support groups allow the patient to cope with the lifestyle changes that accompany their new bodies.

Who Should Attend Our Lap-Band Weight Loss Support Groups?
Our LAP- BAND® Weight Loss Patient Support Groups are geared primarily for patients who have already had obesity surgery, but can be attended by prospective LAP- BAND® surgery patients as well. They provide a critical forum for patients to share experiences, have questions answered, and gain encouragement from their peers.
