Support Groups

Weight loss surgery is a lifestyle change, and we understand the challenges within your weight loss journey. Our goal is to assure you that you are not alone in your weight loss journey, by providing an opportunity for patients to share their experiences, have questions answered, and gain encouragement from their peers and providers. The group emphasizes education, awareness, enthusiasm, and acceptance.

Support groups are the 1st Thursday of the month at

Who can attend our weight loss support groups?

Anyone who is interested in having weight loss surgery
An established South Texas Surgeons patient
A family member/friend/partner of a potential or current South Texas Surgeons patient
